Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry / Program Intended Learning Outcomes

SO1: Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of theoretical and practical principles in industrial chemistry, including organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, and apply them to interpret chemical phenomena and industrial processes.

SO2: Use mathematical, analytical, and engineering skills to develop and analyze chemical processes, solve complex problems related to production, scale-up, and process optimization.

SO3: Design, develop, and optimize industrial chemical processes and products by analyzing reactions, selecting appropriate raw materials, and applying safety and sustainability principles to meet industrial requirements.

SO4: Apply laboratory and technical skills and utilize specialized instruments and software used in industrial chemistry (such as chemical analysis techniques, process control systems, and simulation software) to efficiently handle experimental data and evaluate product quality.

SO5: Communicate scientific and technical results effectively through technical reports, presentations, and teamwork within multidisciplinary industrial and research environments.

SO6: Adhere to ethical, professional, health, and environmental standards in industrial chemical practice, including laboratory and industrial safety, environmental protection, and responsible use of chemicals.

SO7: Function effectively on teams that establish goals, plan tasks, meet deadlines, and analyze risk and uncertainty.

SO8: Adopt a culture of lifelong learning by keeping up with recent advances in industrial chemistry, modern technologies, advanced materials, and sustainable processes to meet industry and labor market needs.
