Dina Al-Whiedy is a senior undergraduate student in the Department of Physics – School of Science at the University of Jordan. She participated in the 13th NYUAD QC and AI Hackathon, which took place between April 24 and 27. She worked alongside Team 4, Water Wizards, where they proposed the use of quantum optimization for the optimal placement of quantum sensors in water tank networks for the early detection of heavy metal contamination.
The 11 team members, who joined from different parts of the world, were mentored by the great Ben Hall from Infleqtion and Nouhaila Innan from eBrain Lab – CQTS, who supervised all of their work and supported them every step of the way.
