Graduates have wide career prospects in both private and government sectors such as manufacturing and processing industries, industries related to petroleum, chemicals, ceramic, oleochemicals, polymer, food, electronics, the environmental, mining, pharmaceuticals and health-related industries, agriculture industries, government agencies, including forensic science, police, customs and patents, defense (army), education (secondary schools, colleges, and universities) and research, and areas related to biotechnology and nanotechnology as well as marketing. The degree also allows them to pursue postgraduate studies in chemistry and related areas
