PhD In Physics
Program Description :
The Ph.D. program in Physics consists of 54 credit hours distributed as follows:

1. Compulsory courses: 21 credit hours
2. Elective Courses: 15 credit hours
3. Thesis: 18 credit hours

The compulsory courses present an advanced treatment of core courses in Physics that cover the common areas between the different theoretical and experimental research fields in the department, which include: Solid State Physics, Condensed Matter Physics, Nuclear Physics, Atomic and Molecular Physics, Mathematical Physics and Physics of Materials. Students are advised to study elective courses that are related to their intended research field. The program aims at producing candidates who are able to assume a teaching role at higher education institutions in Jordan and in regional Arab countries in parallel to conducting scientific research in their areas of specializations.
