As
a part of the worldwide celebration of the International Day of Light
2025 (IDL 2025), LAMBDA Physics Group at the University
of Jordan (UJ) is pleased to organize a public activity titled “Mind-Blowing
Physics”.
This
event will celebrate the International Day of Light (IDL
2025) and the International Year of Quantum Science and
Technology (IYQ 2025), in conjunction with the 10-Year
Anniversary of LAMBDA Physics Group at the University of Jordan and
the 60-Year Anniversary of UJ's School of Science.
The
general theme of this open day is "Physics for All".
You are cordially invited to be part of this event by witnessing how knowledge,
imagination, inspiration and art can be combined to share "Physics"
with others.
There are three exciting sections to enjoy:
1. Physics
Experiments/Demonstrations: Interactive experiments will be presented
to the public, explaining scientific concepts in a simple and engaging way.
2. Physics
& Art: Artworks will be displayed that reflect physics concepts or
embody our relationship with science in an impressive artistic way.
3. Physics
Books/Literature: Extracurricular physics books will be displayed,
introducing them to readers in a way that appeals to them.
The
event will be held at Ibn Al-Haytham Laboratory (Physics Building, 3rd
Floor, Lab 321) on Thursday, 24 July 2025, 9:30 am to 2:00
PM.
Anyone interested in physics/science/art is welcome to attend.
