Bachelor of Industrial Chemistry / Program Overview

Industrial Chemistry is a vital discipline that forms a fundamental pillar of various industrial and manufacturing sectors. It contributes to transforming core chemical knowledge into practical industrial applications that serve societal and economic needs. The program focuses on applying principles of organic, inorganic, physical, and analytical chemistry, in addition to chemical engineering concepts and process analysis and control techniques, to the design, development, and optimization of chemical processes and products.
The program prepares students to understand chemical reactions and industrial operations at laboratory, pilot, and full industrial scales, with a strong emphasis on occupational safety, quality control, environmental sustainability, and economic efficiency. It equips students with the practical skills required to work in analytical laboratories, chemical manufacturing plants, and industries related to energy, advanced materials, pharmaceuticals, food, and petrochemicals.

The program also enhances students’ ability to solve complex industrial problems, improve production efficiency, and reduce environmental impact in line with the principles of sustainable development and modern industrial transformation. With the rapid advancement of industrial technologies and materials, the demand for scientifically and practically qualified industrial chemistry graduates continues to grow, making this program a strategic investment in supporting industrial innovation and strengthening competitiveness in local, regional, and international labor markets.

Long-term objectives of the B.Sc. Program in Industrial Chemistry aim at enabling its graduates to be able to:

O1 – Secure successful careers in industrial, governmental, and research sectors, or pursue postgraduate studies in Industrial Chemistry or related fields.

O2 – Apply fundamental and advanced principles of chemistry efficiently to analyze, develop, and optimize industrial chemical processes and solve real-world industrial and environmental problems.

O3 – Continuously develop their chemical knowledge, laboratory, and analytical skills through independent learning, and adapt to emerging technologies, instruments, safety standards, and methodologies relevant to modern chemical industries.
