The Department of Physics at the School of Science organized the first training course within the internal training track, as part of its training plan, by holding a course entitled “Maintenance of Physical Laboratory Equipment.” The course was directed at laboratory technicians and aimed at developing their scientific and practical skills, as well as enhancing their efficiency in handling various laboratory devices.
The course was delivered by Engineer Mustafa Maslah, and included a theoretical component covering power sources, electronic components, schematic reading, and electrical power supply circuits. It also featured a practical component that focused on introducing maintenance tools, methods for disassembling and assembling electronic parts, the sequence of maintenance procedures, in addition to hands-on practical applications on a number of laboratory devices, thereby strengthening the participants’ applied experience.
This course comes as part of the Faculty of Science’s commitment to supporting technical staff, developing employees’ skills, and improving the quality of work in laboratories, which positively reflects on the quality of the educational and research process at the faculty.
